Countryside information
Service outline:
Working closely with the local community, landowners and various environmental organisations, the Council's Countryside Service aims to provide a countryside that is attractive, and accessible to all sections of the community, while safeguarding and enhancing its wildlife, natural and historic features.
The Countryside Service includes rangers, information officers, administrative support, and an estate team. The service is ably assisted by some voluntary rangers.
You can join in on the wide range of events run by the countryside ranger service: guided walks, activity days, conservation events, and much more.
