Service outline:

Advocacy enables people to protect their rights and speak up. An advocate is a person who can:

  • listen
  • help to plan any action
  • write letters and make telephone calls
  • ensure views are heard at meetings or interviews
  • obtain information
  • investigate alternative sources of support
  • increase communication with social care services and any other relevant agencies
  • find out what rights you have
  • liaise with relevant agencies
