Grass cutting and grounds maintenance

Service outline:

We cut grass to ensure that people can use roads and pavements safely, and also to ensure a safe and attractive environment.

We are responsible for the cutting of grass on areas such as:

parks
town centres
memorial gardens
verges
public open spaces

We are not responsible for cutting grass on:

private property
on properties/estates owned by bodies other than the Council

The council cuts the grass throughout the summer months. If you notice any overgrown areas of grass please report these to us using the contact details below.

Please note some grass verges are maintained by Lancashire County Council for ourselves, if this is the case we will advise you off the correct contact details when you contact us. Or see Lancashire County Council Grass cutting.
