Weights and measures
Service outline:
This service ensures that consumers receive the correct weight or measure of any product they buy. A great many products are sold with some reference to weight or measure including many necessities such as bread, milk, beer, petrol and DIY products such as electric cable and sand.
Trading Standards enforce complex legislation in relation to weights and measures which is designed to ensure that the public and businesses can have confidence in their purchases and that there is fair competition.
