Ecological/geological services
Service outline:
The Lancashire County Ecology Service provides specialist advice and
information on a wide variety of matters relating to nature
conservation in the County with the aim of securing the protection and
enhancement of the Lancashire's biodiversity.
Biodiversity action plans provide the framework for safeguarding the earth's biodiversity and requires action on a local and global scale. Action plans will include measures to protect plants, animals and habitats and is a more integrated and strategic approach to conservation.
