The planning system regulates the use of land and buildings in the public interest by making sure the right things are built in the right place.

The Development control department therefore helps to protect the environment in towns and the countryside.

Planning: Residential - Information on residential planning such as conservatories and extensions

Planning: Business - Information on commercial planning such as businesses, farms and advertisements

Conservation Areas - There are many Conservation Areas within the Borough, this section answers questions associated with them

Listed Buildings - There are many listed buildings within the Borough and special controls apply to all of these. This section provides a list of listed buildings within the area as well as answering many of the questions associated with them

Planning Notices - Downloadable copies of the Weekly List, Weekly Decided List, Planning and Development Committee Agenda and the Appeals List
