Regeneration

The Regeneration Team has been working closely with the town centre business groups for some time and the Council has provided funding for a number of initiatives to support the activities of the Chambers of Trade and Longridge Business group to support local business development in the towns.

These projects have arisen following the results of the Employment Land and Retail Study prepared by the Council's Consultants, BE Group, which highlighted a role for the council in supporting the local economy by working with the established groups. The work has strengthened the role of the groups and has helped to revitalise in particular the Clitheroe Chamber over the last year.
