Who is funding STAN?
The vast majority of the funding of STAN is being provided by the North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership which has funded the cost of purchasing the van and fitting it out with the latest technology as well as most of the running costs for its first three years.
The remaining funding for the running cost of the vehicle is covered from further external funding sources.
The service will be staffed by representatives from all three councils as well as a representative from Lancashire County Council's Help Direct service.
