Platform Gallery 2008 Exhibitions

The Platform Gallery is transformed into a winter 'Wonderland' for the final exhibition of 2008, our famous Christmas crafts exhibition. Textile jellies and chocolate boxes by Naïve designs, gloriously gilded clocks and mirrors by Julian Spencer and sparkling sand cast glass by Sue Parry are just a few of the delights to be found in this beautiful show. Hand made decorations by Jessica Preston, delicate ceramics by Sarah Hillman and flamboyant wearable textiles by Tammy Child are some of the items new to the gallery this year.

As a special treat you can look forward to a spectacular window display by papier-mache artist Nicola Senior, a unique installation of festive fairies and fairytale characters, sure to amplify your holiday spirit! As always, there will be a range of unique jewellery designed by over 30 jewellers including pieces made from gold, silver and non-precious materials.

New to the gallery this year is silver by Frances Noon (pictured), acrylic by Rowena Park and leather and aluminium jewellery by Alex Williamson. With an amazing selection of cards, wooden toys and men's knitwear and accessories, and with prices ranging from £5 to £500, you won't struggle to find the perfect gift this year!

Open Christmas Eve until 1pm.
The Gallery will be closed from 25th December - 16th January inclusive (for annual stock take).
The gallery's shop will be open as usual from Saturday the 17th of January. Monday - Saturday 10am - 4.30 pm.
The gallery's exhibition space will be open as usual from Saturday the 24th January.
