The following petitions have been submitted to the Council.

Petition by Wiswell Residents

On 28 September 2012 a petition on behalf of around 223 Wiswell Residents was submitted to the Council requesting:  the creation of "a new Parish for Barrow, resulting in the separation of Wiswell from Barrow".

Whether the Parish of Wiswell should be divided has been the subject of a recent Community Governance Review.

The Council's Policy and Finance Committee will consider the results of the consultation that has taken place as part of this Review on 20th November 2012.  Details of the petition will be included as an Appendix to the Solicitor's report to that committee - Policy and Finance Committee Report can be found here once it has been completed.
