EXCITING plans to redevelop Clitheroe Castle and Museum were recently unveiled at a public meeting on Monday, July 24.

Members of the public were invited to the meeting held in the Ribble Valley Borough Council Chamber in Church Street, Clitheroe.

Chris Hughes, Ribble Valley Borough Council's Community Development Manager, who is spearheading the Clitheroe Castle Heritage Scheme, gave an informative PowerPoint presentation on the entire scheme, its importance in the community and potential benefits, the current state of the museum and site and how the project will improve the visitor economy and  experience.

The scheme's latest visuals were also unveiled for consultation.

Other officers involved in the £3.2million Clitheroe Castle Heritage Scheme were on hand to answer questions.
