Advice For Tree Owners
Reminders
- If your trees require an inspection, ensure that the individual you employ is a qualified arboriculturalist and is fully insured to give advise.
- If you have to employ a tree contractor ensure that he is fully conversant with British Standards for Tree Work.
- Ensure that all relevant permissions for the tree work have been obtained from the local authority.
- If you are in need of further advice you are recommended to contact the Countryside Officer, David Hewitt and / or a qualified approved arboriculturalist.
Grants
In recognition of the fact that trees on private land are often of amenity value to the locality and the cost burden incurred by tree owners for tree work, grants are available towards the cost of tree inspections, tree surgery and pruning as well as replacement planting.For further details please contact:
