Advances in the science and knowledge of how trees grow and respond to climate, soil conditions and the impact of man has revolutionised arboriculture in the last twenty years. The use of technology including Thomographic and Thermal imaging are proving to be useful aids in the assessment of trees.

The first stage in any tree assessment/inspection process is Visual Tree Assessment  this should only be carried out by a qualified arboriculturalst with level three Professional Visual Tree Assessment training and/or with a Quantified Tree Risk Assessment Licence.
