Rights of Way Core Area

Our duties in the Core Area

  • Signposting and waymarking of Rights of Way
  • Maintaing the surface of a Right of Way to a standard appropriate for the purpose for which the highway is used. Walkers should wear appropriate footwear when walking in the countryside.
  • Ensuring that the network is kept free from obstructions and available for use by the public

Upon receiving a complaint from a member of the public we will acknowledge it in writing within three weeks. We will endeavour to resolve the issue within three months.

If after three months the issue has not been resolved the complainant will be kept informed of the reasons why.
