Changes to the Network

Changes to the network can be achieved through legal a number of legal processes. The two most common ways are through:

1. Town & Country Planning Act 1990 - if it is deemed necessary to divert a Right of Way in order to carry out development for which planning permission has been granted.

2. Section 119 Highways Act 1990 - if it is in the interests of the landowner, lessee or occupier of the land over which the Right of Way runs, or of the public it is expedient that the line of the way be diverted.
