Aims and Objectives

image The guidance note has the following aims and objectives:
  1. To inform the general public and applicants about the Local Authority's policy and procedure for dealing with rights of way affected by planning applications.
  2. To give clear guidance to applicants whose planning applications may affect the rights of way network.
  3. To achieve and maintain a consistent approach to dealing with rights of way affected by planning applications.

NOTE:  The term 'right of way' can also include those not recorded on the definitive map.
