Rights of Way Affected by a Planning Application
Reminder
- the onus is on the owner/developer of land to ensure that all rights of way have been correctly identified, kept available for safe and convenient public use and if required to be altered, are altered by means of the appropriate formal procedure.
- the granting of planning permission does not in itself authorise the diversion or the stopping up of any right of way, which must be the subject of a separate application as outlined in this document.
- the cost of making and implementing a right of way diversion order will be borne by the applicant.
