Woodland Burial

Conclusions

The woodland grave concept introduces a radical new approach to burial.  It must be stressed however, that this new service is in addition to and not in place of traditional burial which will continue in the same form as offered at present.

Before you decide on the woodland burial option please give careful consideration to what it involves and be sure that it is what you want.  The most difficult time of all in which to make decisions is immediately after a bereavement.  Emotions can be in such a turmoil that it is difficult to make sound judgement.

Woodland burial is not for those who wish to visit a neat and tidy grave and place floral tributes.  It is for people who wish to become part of a natural growing process after their death.  It is for those who have no family to visit and take care of a traditional grave – nature will take care of the grave.

Woodland burial provides conditions for nature conservation to flourish and is a return to nature in the true sense.  It is for people who love wildlife and want to create a woodland for future generations to enjoy and love.
