Ribble Valley Borough Council

Environmental Health

What Environmental Health do

In Ribble Valley the service is provided by a small team of  officers who are divided into two teams, one dealing with issues relating to commercial premises and the second specialising in issues relating to privately owned housing.

The protection, and where possible, the improvement of the environment and public health is a recognised aim of this council.

The well being of society and the quality of life we enjoy depends on the interrelation of many factors - the food we eat, the place we work, the air we breath and maintaining the environment both for our enjoyment and those of future generations.

Your chance to have your say

The Environmental Health Section has produced a number of working documents which set out the work being both undertaken and programmed for the current year. The service priorities and service levels delivered are contained within the specific and relevent documents.  We shall welcome any suggestions or comments with regard to improving the content or stated priorities of these documents. Please let us have your comments by email at: environmental.health@ribblevalley.gov.uk
