Lancashire Enterprise Zone Masterplan consultation
Lancashire Enterprise Zone was approved in Autumn 2011, and will be based at Samlesbury, in South Ribble Borough, Warton in Fylde Borough, and Ribble Valley Borough.
The Enterprise Zone is solely focused in the advanced engineering sector, and will form a centre of excellence for high technology manufacturing. It will act as a nucleus to attract organisations which are directly involved in the industry, or provide support services.
A Master Plan has been prepared on behalf of the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, to establish a framework for the long term, strategic objectives of the Samlesbury Enterprise Zone. The Master Plan considers a number of key matters in terms of access, transport, travel, utilities, design, landscaping and ecology.
A consultation ran until 28 November 2013, and included a public meeting held on Tuesday 12 November 2013 at the Canberra Club (off the A59 within the BAE Systems site).
Anyone who wishes to make enquiries in respect of the Master Plan should write or email Debbie Roberts, South Ribble Borough Council, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland PR25 1DH Droberts@southribble.gov.uk
Under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 any representations received during the consultation period will be available for inspection at any time during the application process.
