The Lancashire Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing Enterprise Zone (Samlesbury) Local Development Order No. 2 (2013)

Lancashire Enterprise Zone was approved in autumn 2011 and will be based at Samlesbury in South Ribble Borough, and Warton in Fylde Borough.

The Enterprise Zone is solely focused in the advanced engineering sector and will form a centre of excellence for high technology manufacturing.  It will act as a nucleus to attact organisations which are directly involved in the industry or provide support services.

A Master Plan has been prepared on behalf of the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership to establish a framework for the long term, strategic objectives of the Samlesbury Enterprise Zone.  A consultation ran for a period of six weeks from 17th October 2013 until 28th November 2013.  Here is a link to view the responses at South Ribble Borough Council's website http://www.southribble.gov.uk/content/master-plan-enterprise-zone

A consultation is running from 15th November 2013 to midday on 15th December 2013 which refers to Draft Local Development Order 2 (2013).  The purpose of the Local Development Order is to authorise development, infrastructure and ancillary works within the site:

Under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 any representations received will be available for inspection at any time during the application process.
