Barrie Williams - Outdoor Activity Development Officer
The scheme - developed to encourage people to build regular, moderate exercise into their daily routine, offers a range of circular walks to suit most abilities as part of a weekly 'led walk' programme.
If you have health problems that prevent you from doing demanding exercise or are currently inactive and are not sure where to start and would like some support to get you going and keep you motivated, perhaps this is the scheme for you.
Each walk is graded so that you can choose an option most suited to your current fitness levels. All the walks are free and are led by volunteer walk leaders.
To help us open up the scheme to as many people as possible, we are always looking for more volunteers - if you have a couple of hours to spare on a regular basis, why not join us, all support and help makes a difference, we can offer support and training and the opportunity to meet lots of new people and make new friends.
