Orienteering in the Ribble Valley

Orienteering - A Sport for All

Picture showing somebody reading a map

Orienteering has grown substantially in popularity amongst both old and youngsters as it has benefits for all people and utilises both physical and mental skills.

There are many courses now available to run or walk in the Ribble Valley across a variety of venues. Below is a brief description of each course together with a downloadable copy of the map.

N.B. The courses do not have permanent orienteering points. In order to complete the course organisers/participants will have to hire a SportIdent orienteering kit which is available for a small fee (plus a deposit). To hire please contact Tom Bamber, Sports Development Officer, on 01200 414553 or e-mail tom.bamber@ribblevalley.gov.uk
