Winter Weather and Gritting
Lancashire County Council provides the winter gritting service to roads in the Ribble Valley, see Lancashire County Council, Gritting.
During periods of snow and severe weather, gritting may take considerably longer to complete. Lancashire County Council use all available resources to clear the priority network and the remaining network in a priority order.
Priority and secondary gritting routes are available on the Lancashire County Council mapping system. Alternatively call 0845 053 0011.
For updates on gritting, path and road clearing you can follow Lancashire County Council's winter Twitter feed (or the Twitter hashtag #lancswinter) and Lancashire County Council's Facebook or view the Lancashire County Council winter service updates.
