Wheeled bin and the recycling & refuse service
When is my bin collection day?
There will be no change to bin collections over the Easter public holidays.
Your bin collection day and your bin collection point(s) have not changed.
Paper and Cardboard collection is a separate service but is now collected on the same day as your wheeled bins from 3 March 2014.
Use the Bin collection day search and enter your street name or post code to find out when your bin is collected.
The general / non-recyclable (Burgundy) bin is collected on the same day every week.
The recyclable waste (blue) bin is collected on the same day as your general waste on alternate weeks with the garden (green) waste bin.
Download your bin collection calendar from 3 March 2014.
Please note your bin collection day has not changed and the date on the calendars are to represent the week commencing.
Your bins must be presented at the edge of your property by no later than 7.30am on your collection day (if it is more convenient you may put them out after 6.00pm on the day before collection). Householders are requested to present their wheeled bins with the handles facing the highway and to be careful not to obstruct pedestrian or vehicle access.
The service is provided on all Bank Holidays except during Christmas and New Year. Please check your bin collection calendar for any changes. During the Christmas and New Year period we only collect blue and burgundy bins (not green bins).
Missed bin collection
If you think we have missed collecting your bins you need to report a missed bin collection.
Before you complete this form make sure that you put the correct bins out on the correct day before 7.30am.
Forgot to put your bin out?
If you forget to put out your bins they will not be collected until the next time they are due for collection.
