There is a minimum charge of £12.30 for up to four items (each additional item will be charged at £3.10 per item)What we collect

Alternatively you can take these items to your local household waste and recycling centre (tip).
Asbestos removal
The council does not remove asbestos.
Householders can take small amounts of asbestos to the tip.
The asbestos may be double bagged in Red Bags from tip - phone before.

Large amounts i.e. a garage. Cannot be taken to the tip a skip is required and it must be dismantled not broken up (Goggles, Masks, Gloves must be worn.)

Lancashire County Council operates 15 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) throughout Lancashire where householders can recycle their rubbish. See the Lancashire County Council website for a list of all HWRCs.
The opening hours at all HWRC's are:
8.00am - 7.00pm 1 March - 31 October
9.00am - 6.00pm 1 November - 28/29 February
Closed only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day
Commercial vehicles
Certain commercial vehicles or trailers must obtain a permit from Lancashire County Council before visiting a HWRC.
