Paper and Cardboard
Mixed paper and cardboard collection service
Kerbside Collection of Waste Paper and Cardboard
Ribble Valley Borough Council currently employs a private contractor (Viridor Waste Management) to provide a fortnightly, kerbside, collection of mixed paper and cardboard to all homes within the Ribble Valley.
Householders are provided with a re-usable, white, polypropylene sack in which to place their clean paper and cardboard. Additional sacks are available on request or alternatively carrier bags or cardboard boxes can be used.
This service operates separately to the normal refuse and recycling collection service. For most residents the day for paper and cardboard collection will differ from that of the normal refuse and recycling collection service.
A waste paper and cardboard collection schedule is delivered to every home each year (April - March) which provides the days / dates for collection.
Your sack must be presented at the collection point by no later than 7.30 am on the morning of collection and be clearly visible, otherwise it may not be collected until the next date of collection.
Please Note: In the event of disruption to the collection service in the afternoon any missed collections will be picked up the following morning.
