The environment is vitally important to all of us. It is the place in which we live, work and play. The Ribble Valley has a very highly rated environment in terms of its natural beauty, high air quality and low levels of pollution. It is the Ribble Valley Borough Council's policy and ambition to "help make people's lives safer and healthier," and to "protect and enhance the the existing environmental quality of the area." The Council's Environmental Health Team conduct a range of statutory functions, and provide a number of services, often in partnership with other bodies, to ensure that these objectives are achieved.
