In line with North West Improvement and Efficiency Strategy, all 15 Councils in Lancashire have found a need for a collaborative Procurement Hub to support the drive for efficiency savings within the sub region.

The collaborative Procurement Hub will ensure collaborative purchasing opportunities are undertaken and not missed, so that the sub region is able to enjoy real economies of scale.

 

It will co-ordinate and facilitate the sharing of expertise and skills across Lancashire to promote a professional procurement culture within our authorities and to our supplier base.

 

The collaborative Procurement Hub will not only contribute to individual Comprehensive Spending Review deliverables but will also help realise the 'North West Improvement and Efficiency Strategy 2008/11' priorities.
