Councillors

Councillors - often referred to as 'elected members' - are voted into power by local people to make decisions about local services and improvements within the borough. 

Ribble Valley Borough Council has 40 councillors, elected into power for 4 years to represent a particular area of the borough.  These areas are known as wards'.

The current composition of the Council is Conservative (30),Liberal Democrat (9), Independent (1)

The council also works in partnership with 41 Parish Councils within the borough.
