County, town and parish councils

Ribble Valley Borough Council is a district authority in a two-tier area. 

It therefore has responsibility for certain matters, whereas some matters are the responsibility of the County Council - namely Lancashire County Council - and some matters are the responsibility of the relevant Town or Parish Councils.
