Partnerships
Partnership working
Partnership working is an increasingly important vehicle for tackling key issues for local people such as crime, jobs, education, health and housing. It brings together local stakeholders such as the local authority and other statutory agencies and the private, voluntary and community sectors to undertake joint planning and delivery of services.
Partnerships involving the public, private and voluntary sectors are expected to allow the voices of local communities to be heard and to foster a sense of shared objectives.
Effective partnership working can disperse financial input and increase participation by a range of people and organisations.
Ribble Valley Borough Council works in partnership with many different organsisations to help deliver its services to the public. However, the main partnership that we are involved in is the Ribble Valley Local Strategic Partnership.
