Light Columns - Platform Gallery, Clitheroe
In 2006 the Clitheroe based company Lightworks were commissioned to renovate the three steel columns that stand outside the Platform Gallery entrance. By utilising the columns as light boxes they now illuminate the new stained glass panels that sit within them. The brother and sister company based on Lowergate within the town created an abstract pattern using different colourways for each column. The columns are illuminated adding colour at the entrance of the gallery in the winter months and during the evenings.
