Competitive Sport is as important to a young person's development as developing their technique in a given sport.

Ribble Valley Sports Development Unit work in partnership with local sports clubs to offer both primary and secondary schools a varied competition calendar which link into the different county finals which are administered by either National Governing Bodies (NGB's) or School Games Coordinator's.

Hyndburn and Ribble Valley School Sports Partnership Competition Calendar

All School Sports Partnership's (SSP's) are also tasked with compiling a comprehensive competition calendar which meet the need for new sports participants in primary and secondary schools.

These competitions either take the form of an open competition or smaller, family cluster competitions are held which lead into a partnership final.
