Development Groups - Providing a forum for local clubs

Ribble Valley Sport Development Unit supports and develops junior cricket in the borough by hosting and facilitating regular cricket development meetings.

 

Each club has a representative who sits on the group and acts as the link between the Lancashire Cricket Board and the organisation. Meetings are held approximately bi-monthly and serve as support for local clubs in such things like support funding, coach education courses, NGB initiatives & competitions, recruitment of volunteers etc.

 

The group also run and administer district squads in age groups U11, U13 and U15 in addition to girls squads in U11 and U13. The most talented players are then referred by the group to attend county trials in their respective age groups.
