14 March - 25 April 2009

LACi (Lancashire Art and Craft Initiative) is now in its 8th year, exhibiting the best new craft and design talent from Lancashire. The LACi scheme aims to promote new graduates who are trained, living or working in Lancashire. This is done through a series of exhibitions at high profile venues throughout the county. These exhibitions give new makers the opportunity to gain experience of working with galleries and museums and to access marketing and retail opportunities. Member galleries, all local authority funded, include commercial galleries and museums with their own specialist collections. They work with the selected artists and the region's universities to bring high quality craft and design to communities across the North West. This year's exhibitions will take the form of a touring show which will travel to several venues across the county, including the Platform Gallery, Clitheroe.
