Part Time Pre-Planning Advice Officer
Salary:  Scale 6 (scp 26-28)  £22,221 to £23,708 pro rata
3 Days Per Week (22.5 hours)


Ribble Valley Borough Council wish to appoint a part-time pre-planning advice officer to join an established team covering a largely rural district.


The post holder will be checking development proposals and planning applications submitted to RVBC.  They will be liaising with applicants/agents to ensure all aspects of the application are complete before the application is passed to a planning officer for recommendations.  In addition, there will be lots of liaison with external consultees such as the Environment Agency etc.  Site visits will also be required.


Candidates will have a planning degree or degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years experience working in a planning department.  Membership of the RTPI is desirable.  Good report writing ability and excellent communication/organisational skills are required.  The ability to work flexibly as part of a team is also essential.
