Monday to Friday - 37 Hours Per Week
Salary:  £27,849 - £30,011 per annum
PO1 to 4 (scp 33-36)

 

The Council, as a waste collection authority, is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to lead and further develop its fully integrated wheeled bin refuse and recycling collection service.  Whilst the current system is recognised as being one of the most efficient and effective collection systems in the country, further developments will be required in order to ensure that it retains the high degree of customer satisfaction and remains at the forefront of waste collection services.

 

The Council has invested in technological systems to assist with the operation of the service and the appointed person will be able to adapt and use these systems to further develop and protect the safe operation of the service.  Hence proven ICT, managerial and technical competencies are essential requirements.  In addition to the above, a detailed knowledge of the domestic waste business and a WAMITAB Hazardous Waste Transfer certificate and / or suitable professional qualifications would be advantageous.

 

Candidates should be self motivated, with a desire to move the service forward and a willingness to lead by example.
