37 Hours Per Week

 

You will carry out audit assignments based on the council's approved audit plan, helping to challenge controls and ensuring transparency across the council's services.  You will therefore have a good knowledge and experience of audit techniques, preferably within a local government environment.

 

You will be responsible for reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of council's governance arrangements, reporting to senior management and members and putting together action plans.  You will also provide advice to senior management on risk management, working closely with managers in identifying new and emerging service risks.

 

You must have excellent report writing, presentation and interpersonal skills and be able to apply them to your work with all levels of the organisation.
