Salary:  Scale 6 (scp 26-28)  £22,221 to £23,708 per annum pro rata
18.5 Hours Per Week
Wednesday afternoon, Thursday & Friday all day


Ribble Valley Borough Council are seeking an experienced countryside officer who will be able to support and develop the countryside and enhance the natural and semi-natural environment within the borough.


Based within the council's planning department, you will be involved in delivering various aspects of the council's statutory and non-statutory obligations relating to tree ecology and preservation; species protection; biodiversity and landscape protection, including appeals work.


Ideally candidates will have a degree or equivalent in arboriculture and be able to understand and interpret data.  Excellent communication skills are also required, as is the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
