Gallery Showcase for Lancashire Crafts

Craftworkers who live and work in Lancashire have the chance to exhibit their work at the Platform Gallery, Clitheroe.
The Station Road gallery will host a Craft Open featuring the work of craftspeople from across Lancashire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
Any type of craftwork will be considered for the exhibition, including woven, stitched, felted and constructed textiles, ceramics, jewellery, metalwork, woodwork, furniture, glass and mixed media.
Work can be two or three-dimensional, but must be well crafted and of an original, contemporary design, and up to three pieces will be considered.
Applicants are asked to submit up to six images of their prospective pieces and a £10 entry fee by Tuesday, May 31.
Chris Hughes, Ribble Valley Borough Council's head of cultural and leisure services, said: "The Craft Open is a fantastic opportunity for local craftspeople to exhibit their work at a leading Lancashire gallery.
"We know there is a rich artistic heritage in Lancashire and some fantastically talented craftspeople, so we are looking forward to a superb exhibition."
