Families in Ribble Valley are invited to get on their bikes and take part in four free cycle rides.
The two-hour rides, led by qualified cycle leaders, will set off from Clitheroe and Longridge every Friday from July 22 to August 12 taking in some of Ribble Valley's most beautiful countryside.
The rides have been organised as part of Ribble Valley Borough Council's Inspire programme, which aims to inspire residents of all ages to get in the 2012 Olympic spirit by taking part in new sporting activities.
All residents need to take part is a cycle and helmet, and the Longridge rides will be preceded by cycle maintenance workshops courtesy of Steve Barnett of Longridge bike shop The Orange Apple.
The rides start at 6.30pm and will be led by cyclists from the Clitheroe Bike Club and Ribble Valley Junior Cyclists.
Ribble Valley Borough Council's sports development officer, Tom Bamber, said: "Cycling is enjoying a comeback and, as well as being one of the easiest ways to keep fit, is a fabulous family activity."
The rides will set off from the Platform Gallery in Station Road, Clitheroe, on July 22 and August 12, and from Longridge Civic Hall in Calder Avenue on July 29 and August 5.
Registration can be completed either online or over the phone, for any additional information and telephone registration then please contact Tom Bamber on 01200 414553.
