Ribble Valley Borough Council

Council Publishes Annual Report

Published Wednesday 28th November 12

Ribble Valley Borough Council has published its 2011-12 annual report.

The 16-page report sets out the business of the council in clear easy-to-understand language, outlining what the authority has achieved in the past year and its plans for the future.

It includes sections on how the council is run, council services, finances and performance, and features testimonials from Ribble Valley residents and partners.

Ribble Valley Borough Council Leader Michael Ranson said: "From award-winning schemes, such as Warm Homes, Healthy People, to crime-busting projects, such as Farm Watch, the council and its partners have been at the forefront of some groundbreaking work.

"At the same time, Ribble Valley's council tax remains the lowest in Lancashire and one of the lowest in the North West, thanks to the council's strong financial discipline, prudent management and dedicated workforce.

"Ribble Valley residents quite rightly expect high levels of service and the council's committed staff have proved time and again that they are willing to go the extra mile.

"The council's members, directors and staff look forward to serving Ribble Valley residents and visitors for another year."

The Annual Report 2011-2012 is available from the council's communications unit on 01200 414483 and in person at the Ribble Valley Borough Council Offices in Church Walk, Clitheroe.
