Ribble Valley Borough Council has published its 2013 visitor guide, Discover Ribble Valley.

The new-look guide has been redesigned following consultation with customers and advertisers in a coffee table magazine style, but retains its famous strapline: Once Visited Never Forgotten.

It features sections on food, shopping, heritage, outdoor activities, the arts, events, places to eat and a  comprehensive accommodation listing.

For the first time, it also features sections on holiday home parks and weddings.

Ribble Valley Borough Council's tourism and events officer, Tom Pridmore, said: "Response to the guide has been very positive and it has doubled in size from last year.

"The guide focuses on businesses with a real story to tell and offering authentic visitor experiences around the themes of food, country walking and shopping."

The guide went like hot cakes at the prestigious Great Days Out show in Manchester and will be distributed to tourist information centres across the UK.

It is available from the Visitor Information Centre and Platform Gallery in Station Road, Clitheroe.
