Mayor's Charity Dinner Dance

Published Wednesday 23rd October 13

A charity dinner dance is to be hosted by the Ribble Valley Mayor and Mayoress on Saturday 9 November.

The event, at the Shireburn Arms Hotel, Hurst Green, will raise funds for SSAFA (Soldiers' and Sailors' Familes Association) and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

It will include a three-course dinner and entertainment by top Lancashire crooner Wayne Farrow.

Ribble Valley Mayor Richard Sherras, 79, recently raised £1,400 for the two charities from a 10,000ft skydive at Cockerham.

His mayoress is family friend Lynne Pate.

Tickets to the dinner dance priced £35 are available from Mrs Pate on 01200 445513, or mayor's secretary Olwen Heap on 01200 414408.
