We are currently taking bookings for the following adult workshops (please see below for booking conditions):

Felting for beginners with Lesley King
Age 16+, 10 places, £29.00 per place (includes materials)
Make a number of sumptuous hand rolled felt samples experimenting with different colours and decorative techniques. This will lead to designing and making a larger felt panel that can be taken home and made into a beautiful and individual wall hanging, bag, or even tablemats!

Make an embroidered box frame canvas with Priscilla Jones
Age 16+, 8 places, £40 per place
Using various fabrics, acrylic paints and machine stitch you will create a contemporary box frame canvas for your wall. During the day you will explore a range of techniques to enable you to produce a finished piece that is personal and will reflect your own ideas, with guidance from Priscilla. Please note you will need to bring your own machine with a free machine facility.

Make a vintage bag with Priscilla Jones
Age 16+, 8 places, £40 per place
Create a stunning, unique and fashionable bag using nostalgic imagery for inspiration. Priscilla will help you design and create your ideas using free machine embroidery, appliqué and bonding techniques. All materials included, but please feel free to bring any of your own as this can make the bag more personal. Please note you will need to bring your own machine with a free machine facility.

Introduction to enamelling with Lynne Glazzard
Age 16+, 8 places, £42.00 per place (includes materials)
Discover the art of enamelling, making a beautiful copper leaf necklace decorated with transparent and coloured enamels. Using thin copper shim, you will make 3-4 small leaves that can be decorated with layers of enamel and fired in a kiln. The leaves will then be finished to make a delicate necklace.

Silver S-link bracelet and necklace with Heather Scott
Age 16+, 6 places, £50 per place (includes all materials)
Make a simple S-link chain bracelet and S-link silver and gemstone necklace. Learn how to manipulate wire, solder and combine gemstones with the metal. Please note that this is quite a physical workshop and will be noisy!

We cannot give refunds on cancelled places for any reason once a secure booking has been made, unless we are able to fill the place from our reserve list. If the Platform Gallery has to cancel a workshop for any reason, we will give as much notice as possible and a full refund.
