Local Plan
The Districtwide Local Plan sets out detailed policies and specific proposals for the development and use of land in the area. It guides most day-to-day planning decisions.
The current Local Plan was adopted by the Council in 1998 and is currently undergoing review. Contact us for an update.
Here is a list of the policies in the Local Plan which have been saved as part of the LDF process. Those not on this list are obsolete as from 27th September 2007.
Please note that the Conservation Area boundaries shown in the Local Plan maps will be obsolete from Thursday 15th March 2007. The new boundaries can be viewed in the New Conservation Area Boundaries document.
