Driver/Loader (Refuse Section)
Salary:  Scale 4 (scp 18-21)  £17,161 - £19,126 per annum
Monday to Friday 37 Hours Per Week 


Working out of the Council's Depot on Lincoln Way, Clitheroe, you will be responsible for driving and loading any of the Council's refuse collection vehicles.  A full LGV category C licence is required.  You will be responsible for the supervision of the team members on the collection round.


The job involves the collection of waste and recyclable materials as part of the Council's 3-stream waste collection system that utilises both the wheeled bin and sack collection systems.  As well as the driving aspects you should be physically capable of undertaking repeated and frequent entries and exits of the cab of refuse collection and other vehicles, and the manoeuvring of loaded wheeled bins, as well as some carrying and lifting of materials.  Some bank holiday working as well as weekend working around Christmas and New Year will be required.


You should be a team player, flexible and reliable with a willingness to undertake any tasks which will contribute to the efficiency of the refuse collection service.
