Service Disruption

Please note that because of the wintry conditions, we will not be able to collect bins from every property. If we haven’t been able to collect your waste so far, it is because the driver had safety concerns about access for the vehicle in the present wintry conditions. We are sorry for the inconvenience this causes, but we will collect 2 weeks’ of general waste (burgundy bin) next week.

Frozen Bins

When temperatures drop below freezing there’s a chance that the contents in your green bin will freeze and they won’t empty properly from the mechanical emptying process. Unfortunately we cannot return to empty frozen bins.  If your bin has not been fully emptied because the contents are partially frozen and you need to dispose of extra rubbish or garden waste, you can take it to the recycling centres in Clitheroe and Longridge,
