Proposed Main Modifications: Additional Housing July Consultation

Introduction

In preparing for the forthcoming Public Examination into the HED DPD, the Council is proposing to put forward some additional housing sites as main modifications for the Inspector to consider in his forthcoming Examination of the HED DPD in November 2018.  The Council has identified sites at Clitheroe, Simonstone and Langho to help meet the Government’s requirements to maintain a 5 year supply of housing land.

A six week public consultation period starts on Friday, 27 July and closes at 5pm on Friday, 7 September 2018, during which comments are invited on the proposed main modifications only. 

Please note that this consultation relates only to the main modifications being proposed to the Housing and Economic Development DPD, you do not need to restate any previous objections as these have already been forwarded to the Inspector for consideration as part of the Examination process. All representations must relate only to the amendments being proposed.  Representations made in this consultation will be provided to the Inspector as part of the Examination process. Representations received after the closing deadline may not be considered.
